About the Author
A prominent and successful immigration attorney, Gloria Roa Bodin, has been preparing all her life to write this book.
She is from humble beginnings, the daughter of immigrant parents who struggled to learn English and who taught her to embrace all that the United States of America has to offer as the land of opportunity. She is the embodiment of the American dream. She holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California Law School, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyer Association (AILA) and has served as a board member of its South Florida Chapter. She has been licensed to practice law in the State of Florida since 1978. In 1981 she launched her own immigration law firm with offices in Miami, Florida, and since then has represented thousands of Immigrants from all over the world. She regular1y appears on radio and television, and lectures as an authority Immigration and Nationality Law.
